IUplanet caught up today with do-it-all athlete Nick Zachery to talk about his early commitment to IU and his future with the Hoosiers.
When IU extended a scholarship to the Sheridan High School (IN) standout, the offer couldn’t have come soon enough, and he quickly made his decision late last month (June 26 to be exact), becoming the second player on a 2009 commitment list that now includes 14 players.

Coach Bill Lynch is still on a roll recruiting-wise, getting two more commitments in the past two days. IU now has 14 players verbally committed to play in 2009, and 10 recruits rated at 3-stars by Rivals.com, which is double the number of 3-star recruits set to play for the Hoosiers this year. While these ratings change and verbal commitments are not set in stone (knock on wood), this definitely bodes well for the future of IU football.
